Critical Care Vet in Orland Park, IL

We sincerely hope that your pet never has to experience a critical care situation; however, if the unexpected happens, we want to help you in any way we can. Our veterinarians and staff in Orland Park, IL always give first priority to animals in need of critical care during regular business hours. We do ask that you call us at (708) 478-7788 before coming over, so that we can prepare a room and be equipped to treat your pet as soon as they arrive.

Your Pet May Need A Critical Care Vet If…

The following behaviors and symptoms could indicate a health concern for your pet:

  • Vomiting repeatedly

  • Diarrhea

  • Blunt force trauma (hit by car)

  • Puncture wounds, cuts, gashes

  • Swelling of the face (could be allergic reaction)

  • Walking as if disoriented, head tilted to one side

  • Blood in vomit/stool/urine

  • Bleeding from the nose, mouth, or rectum

  • Choking

  • Possible broken bones

  • Coughing constantly

  • Pale gums

  • Lethargy

  • Foaming at the mouth

  • Heavy bleeding

  • Unable to defecate/urinate

  • Seizures

  • Shaking/trembling

  • Panting/breathing heavily

  • Ingested poisonous plant, substance, or toxic food

If your pet is showing any signs of distress, illness, or pain, we ask that you contact us right away so we can offer advice or have you bring in your pet for treatment.
