Dr. O’Rourke attended the University of Illinois for 5 years, receiving her bachelor’s degree in 2019, her master’s in 2020, and her DVM in 2024.

What made you choose a career in veterinary medicine?

For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a veterinarian. My mother would tell stories about me going up to and caring for any animal I saw as a child. As I got older, this career path allowed me to work with amazing people and animals, advise families, and advocate for animals.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy reading, playing Pickleball, golfing, and baking in my free time!

“They might only be here for a part of our life, but to them, you are their whole life.”

What are 3 interesting facts about you?

I am 100% Irish, I would love to rehab a home, and I have had a passport since I was 3 months old!
